Anger Management Counselling Montreal

Learn to Manage Your Anger

Learn practical tools and strategies to help you manage your anger.

What happens in a moment of anger can have long-term consequences – for yourself and the people you care about.

While anger can be a natural emotional reaction to feeling stressed, frustrated or anxious, it isn’t healthy to feel angry most of the time.

A feeling of constant pressure inside you, trouble sleeping, yelling at your partner, or overreacting to small problems are a few of the warning signs that you may suffer from anger management issues.

I help clients understand where those feelings are coming from and provide tools and strategies to help you move forward with greater awareness and self-control.

Court-Ordered Anger Management Counselling

I work with clients who are court-ordered to attend therapy for anger management issues. I will provide an initial consultation to understand your situation better, followed by counselling tailored specifically to help you.

Following successful participation in counselling, I can provide you with a letter for the court, if you require one. Please note that the number of sessions required to help you will be determined on a case-by-case basis, and a letter can only be provided to reflect your actual level of progress.

Please note that I do not offer anger management classes or courses. My services are for anger management counselling only.

Learn to Let Go of Your Anger

When you feel trapped in the pressure-cooker of long-term anger, things can seem hopeless. You might feel ashamed of the effect of your anger on others, and often the last thing you want to do is tell someone about it.

I’ve worked with many clients who’ve felt the same way, and I offer a judgement-free environment, so you can feel safe to open up and talk about your anger.

I work with you to uncover the origins of your anger and what triggers it. I then help you learn how to react consciously and appropriately to those triggers so you can manage situations calmly and with confidence.

What is Anger Management Counselling?

Anger is often a mask for deeply vulnerable feelings such as hurt, fear, shame and grief, and expressing it appropriately can be beneficial. Anger can keep us safe, address injustice, improve our relationships and motivate healthy change.

Anger management counselling isn’t about denying or repressing your anger. My role is to help you understand the reasons behind your anger and teach you healthy ways to overcome it.
