Anger Management Counselling Westmount
Does It Feel Like Your Fuse Is Getting Shorter?
Understand the root cause of your anger and gain practical tools to help you manage it with calmness and confidence.
What happens in a moment of anger can have devastating long-term consequences – for yourself and the people you care about. And while anger can be a natural emotional reaction to feeling stressed, frustrated or anxious, it isn’t normal to feel angry most of the time.
A feeling of constant pressure inside you, trouble sleeping, yelling at your partner, or flying off the handle over small problems are a few of the warning signs.
I help clients understand where those persistent feelings of anger are coming from and provide tools and strategies to help them move forward with a greater awareness and self-control.
Free Yourself From Anger’s Destructive Grip
When you feel trapped in the pressure-cooker of long-term anger things can seem hopeless. You might feel ashamed of the effect of your anger on others, and often the last thing you want to do is tell someone about it.
I’ve worked with many clients who’ve felt the same way, and I offer a judgement-free environment, so you can feel safe to open up and talk about the problem.
I work with you to uncover the origins of your anger and what triggers it. I then help you learn how to react consciously and appropriately to those triggers so you can manage situations calmly and with confidence.
Break Free and Restore Your Peace of Mind
Anger is often a mask for deeply vulnerable feelings such as hurt, fear, shame and grief, and expressing it appropriately can be useful.
Anger can keep us safe, address injustice, improve our relationships and motivate healthy change.
Anger management counselling isn’t about denying or repressing your anger. My role is to act as a coach, and to help you understand the reasons behind your anger so can find ways to overcome it.
I use an integrative therapy approach that is respectful and empathic in a safe, judgement-free environment.
