Anxiety shows up in our lives in different ways. It might be a social situation, a difficult life event, or a family or relationship issue. But whatever the cause, being anxious has a huge impact on your life.
What is Anxiety?
You don’t sleep properly. You feel irritable all the time. You’re snapping at the people you love. And you’re probably giving yourself a hard time over all of it.
Living like that is exhausting, and it can lead to depression if you don’t get on top of it early.
I help clients understand the causes of their anxiety and arm them with an anxiety management toolkit to help them cope and move forward.
When everything feels overwhelming it’s tempting to try quick fixes, such as alcohol or scrolling social media. Doing that might help you feel good in the moment, but over time it can create its own problems.
In most cases, you can’t just walk away from the situation or challenge that’s causing you to feel anxious. And if you worry that talking about it might make you look or feel weak, you keep it locked up and it only gets worse.
I offer a judgement-free environment, so you can feel safe to open up and talk about the problem.
I show you how to deal with and reduce your anxiety in a healthy way, so you can choose how you act and react, and how you live your life.
Everyone’s experience of anxiety is different. We’ve all learned different ways to handle challenges and manage how we respond to difficult situations.
When you work with me it’s like having a coach in your corner, someone who has your back. I will help you learn about yourself and I will challenge you when need be so you can break through the toughest obstacles.
I use an integrative therapy approach that is respectful and empathic in a safe, judgement-free environment.

Counselling That Fits in With Your Schedule
When you've got a lot on your plate, finding out-of-hours appointments can add to the stress, so I offer as many out-of-business hours sessions as I can. I am available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. I also offer online therapy sessions via Zoom, FaceTime and Google Hangouts.
You don't need a referral to make an appointment. You can contact me directly by phone, email or book an appointment through the website.
If you're not ready to book but would like a bit more information or to get a sense of who I am, I offer free 10-minute consultations over the phone.
