FAQ

When are you available?

I am available for appointments on weekdays from 8am to 8pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Do you offer online therapy sessions?

Yes. I offer online counselling and coaching sessions via Zoom, FaceTime and Google Hangouts.

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral. Simply contact me to make an appointment.

Do you issue insurance receipts?

Yes. However, it is best to first check with your insurance provider to ensure exactly what type and amount of coverage you have.

What is the difference between coaching and counselling?

Coaching generally refers to a short-term, forwarding looking, solution-focused approach to specific issues or events in one’s life (e.g. procrastination or goal setting). Counselling typically tends to focus on more deep-rooted, emotional issues that an individual may be experiencing (e.g. depression, grief or trauma).

What will my initial appointment cover?

Your initial appointment will cover:

  • Your concerns and current presenting issues.
  • The effect of said concerns on your current experience of life.
  • Your expectations and goals for counselling and/or coaching.
  • Information about how I work and any other questions you may wish to ask.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, in certain circumstances. Please contact me for further information.

What happens if I need to cancel an appointment?

In accordance with normal professional practice, 48-hours’ notice is required for cancellation or postponement of an appointment. This notice gives me the chance to offer the cancelled appointment time to someone else who may be waiting. Otherwise, the normal fee may apply (except in some emergency situations).
