How I Help
Some people come to therapy unsure of exactly what’s wrong. They just know something isn’t working. Others are very clear about what’s going on but feel stuck and unsure how to change it.
I help you look at the patterns that are keeping you stuck and work through them in a practical, thoughtful way. That usually means slowing down, identifying what you actually know versus what you are assuming, and testing whether the conclusions you have drawn hold up under closer examination.
Past, Present, and Future
The way we think, feel, and relate often has roots in earlier experiences. In therapy, we look at how past relationships, losses, and key events may still be shaping your present, sometimes without you realising it.
Understanding where these patterns come from can make it easier to loosen their hold and approach current situations with more clarity and self-understanding.
Mindfulness as a Practical Tool
I have maintained a daily mindfulness and meditation practice for over twenty-five years. When it is useful, I bring simple mindfulness practices into our work together as tools for managing stress, staying grounded, and responding more deliberately rather than out of habit or overwhelm.
I am also the principal mindfulness and meditation trainer at Mindfulness Space.
What Sessions Are Like
Sessions are conversational and collaborative. I aim to create a space that is calm, respectful, and non-judgmental.
I’ll ask questions, offer reflections, and help you slow things down so we can understand what’s happening beneath the surface and find more workable ways forward.
