Relationship Counselling Westmount
Build a Stronger, Healthier Relationship
Identify the barriers that are affecting your relationship, and build stronger more fulfilling connections.
Relationships can be difficult. We all have different expectations about how they should be, and sometimes it’s hard to know what to do when things aren’t working.
Knowing how to talk to the other person in your relationship is sometimes the biggest challenge. People hear things differently, and misunderstanding and not feeling heard can make it feel like there’s no way to make things better.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
I support individuals and couples to develop healthy expectations, learn to communicate openly and safely, and create the close, fulfilling partnerships they want.
Reconnect With Your Partner
In every relationship, both partners bring with them experiences from their past. We learn how to be with others from our early life, and every relationship we have influences the way we interact and respond in other relationships.
Sometimes our existing patterns of interaction are no longer constructive and can cause friction between two people who care about each other. When you learn to understand those old habits and where they’ve come from, you can create new ones.
I help you identify the barriers that are affecting your relationship, and enable you to build something new and positive – together.
Experienced, Understanding Counsellor
Your relationship is important, and the issues can be sensitive. I’m experienced in helping couples find ways to communicate clearly and negotiate compromise.
I help facilitate open and safe communication between you, without blame. I take a non-judgemental and empathic approach that is focussed helping you build a meaningful life together.
One facet of my role may be to challenge you, if need be, to help you grow and change as individuals, and as partners.
