Therapy for Young Men in Westmount
Modern life places significant pressure on young men. You’re expected to be confident, in control, and have everything figured out. Many young men feel lost beneath the surface, dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, compulsive behaviours, or a general sense of disconnection.
As a therapist working with young men in Westmount, I provide confidential counselling that addresses these concerns and offers a structured path toward improved functioning and personal clarity.
Common Concerns in Therapy for Young Men
- Loneliness and social disconnection
- Pornography use and compulsive online behaviour
- Relationship difficulties and intimacy concerns
- Anxiety and persistent self-doubt
- Depression or persistent low mood
- Difficulty with motivation and direction
- Anger and emotional regulation
- Questions around identity and masculinity
These patterns are common among young men in their late teens and 20s. Therapy provides a structured setting to examine these concerns and develop practical strategies for improvement.
How Therapy Works
Sessions are conversational and focused. My approach is grounded in evidence-based methods and tailored to the specific challenges you are facing. The work is not about quick fixes or lectures. It focuses on understanding patterns, developing skills, and creating lasting change.
In our work together, you will:
- Identify the patterns that maintain current difficulties
- Learn practical strategies for managing anxiety and emotional reactivity
- Develop skills that support healthier relationships and social connection
- Work at your own pace in a confidential, professional setting
